Optimus Mine
Optimus mine is a technology used in the mining process that provides real time, accurate, and adaptive. OpM work for:
- provide mine planning recommendation with using best scenario.
- assist in the process of taking fastest decision.
- managing good mining practices.
Before the Optimus Mine initiative, the mining plan process was drawn manually on paper. Many processes were done manually, and there was no proper data storage for spatial data. However, with this OpM initiative, planning and monitoring of the mining process can be done through the application. The objectives of the OpM initiative are:
- make the assignment process faster and on time.
- makes planning and monitoring easier and mobility.
- Decision making can be done better and faster.
- provide a more detailed understanding of mine conditions and potential risks.
- provides better financial intelligence.
In 2020, from OpM initiative has been developed the product that call Adaptive Planning-DIGITAL DSP (Daily Strategic Planning). With Adaptive Planning, all of DSP making process has been done digitally such as map interactive, blasting inventory, pit reserve, DSP area assignment, equipment assignment, etc. For the firs step, Adaptive Planning was implemented in Adaro Paringin site and the next plan will be implemented in all of BUMA operation area for further years.
PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
PdM is one of the project based on technology to optimizing life of heavy equipment component with the intention of efficiency to repair and maintenance. PdM is a data-driven tool maintenance strategy using a Machine Learning that can predict when a certain component damage will occur in heavy equipment, by analyzing the behavior of the heavy equipment. In 2020, the system has been implemented throughout the region for 9 models, 650 heavy equipment units, and 3,000 major components.
DIGITAL MAINTENANCE
Digital technology as part of the very fast growing 4.0 industrial revolution is needed in the mining sector. Several global mining companies are currently transforming digitally to increase production, lower costs and improve employee safety and the environment. Therefore, the use of technology in BUMA is now a must in various fields. Information and communication technology play an important role in BUMA to facilitate aspects of mining operations and also the work of BUMA individuals. Heavy equipment investment comes with a high price.
This is why proper management is needed to manage the Company’s assets. BUMA DigiMan (Digital Maintenance) was developed by BUMA technology experts with the aim of maintaining an excellent performance of heavy equipment according to specifications. Equipped with 4 features, namely D-Inspect, D-Order, D-Execute and Integrated Plan & Schedule to facilitate supervisors, planners and BUMA mechanics in managing work with an integrated reporting system and prevent excessive damage to heavy equipment. With good maintenance, the desired production target can certainly be achieved. BUMA continues to be committed to making mining operations safe, efficient and effective.
